Tuesday, March 10 , New York, NY—Today QBE North America is announcing that Property and Casualty executive Mark Cantin is joining the organization as President, Field Operations, effective March 30, 2015. As communicated earlier, QBE is committed to being a specialty-focused carrier in North America, with market-recognized underwriting ability, risk selection and capacity. Mr. Cantin's appointment underscores QBE North America's efforts to transform and improve every aspect of our operations to make it easier for producers to access our people and products that meet the specialized needs in the markets where we choose to compete.
In this role Mr. Cantin will lead all sales and marketing activities for QBE North America, including producer relationships, distribution strategies and brand management, and building out the supporting field organization.

Mr. Cantin's experience includes executive management positions at Liberty Mutual and most recently at USI Insurance Services, one of the largest and fastest growing multi-line insurance brokerage firms in the U.S. with over $1 billion in revenue. Mr. Cantin progressed from the claims department at Liberty Mutual to sales management, including successfully transitioning the company's commercial business to independent agency and broker distribution. At USI Mr. Cantin served as SVP, Chief Marketing Officer and prior to that SVP, Sales & Corporate Strategy. In these roles he was responsible for enterprise-wide carrier strategies, including carrier management, carrier relationships and profitably growing carrier revenue.

Mr. Cantin is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.
